Carbon steel bandsaw blades are an inexpensive way to cut wood and some metals. The coarser tooth profiles such as 4, 6 or 8 TPI (teeth per inch) are best for cutting wood, while the finer tooth profiles of 10 up to 24 TPI are commonly used to cut metal.
From simple workshop operation to the machining of compound materials, carbon steel blades work well with both vertical and horizontal bandsaw machines running at high surface feet per minute.
